Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

This policy explains what information Oak Keel ("we", "us") handles when you visit oakkeel.com or write to us. Oak Keel products such as Gristmark™ publish their own privacy notices, which apply to those products.

What we collect

• Email you send us. If you write to hello@oakkeel.com or support@oakkeel.com, we keep your message, your email address, and anything you choose to include, so we can reply.
• Basic server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or contact forms, and we do not ask you to create an account.

How we use it

We use correspondence only to answer you and to support our products. We use server data only to run and secure the website. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers that host our website and email, or when the law requires it.

Our products and your data

Oak Keel builds local-first software. Our applications are designed to keep your records, formulations, and operational history on your own devices, in formats you can export. Where a product does send data to us, its own privacy notice says what and why.

Retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as it is useful for support and record-keeping, and delete it on request unless we need to keep it for legal reasons. Cloudflare retains server logs according to its own policies.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by writing to hello@oakkeel.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we will honor them.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
